Course: Middlebear (K)
Time: 5:20 p.m.
Temp: 72 degrees
Time: 47:37
Gear: SST(Carolina), shorts, APA3
Notes: I was happy with this run, since it's the first one that I ran consecutively since Sunday's Ultimate Frisbee at Piedmont. I was worried my motivation was gone but cat is back.

2/22/07
Course: Middlebear (K)
Time: 5:24 p.m.
Temp: 68 degrees
Time: 44:51 (CR)
Gear: SST('Stars), shorts, APA3
Notes: Slight pain in the rolling side of right foot on start up but settled down during run. Was passed by bogey near Freedom Park path/North Avenue and he gained as much as a 50-second lead on me at Lakeshore. But he seemed to have some kind of problem, I caught up with him at M1, he passed me and then I dropped him permanently at M2. Also passed a rabbit at section 2 of L3. My fastest run of this course.

2/19/07 (Day 50)
Course: Middlebear (H Loop)
Time: 4:04 p.m.
Temp: 48 degrees
Time: 17 minutes (partially completed)
Gear: SST(Ptree 04), shorts, APA3
Notes: No gas in my legs, by the middle of Freedom Park I was pretty much done for. I think this was in part to the short amount of sleep I had (5 hours) the night before and the 12 hour shift I just came off of...

Course: Middlebear (K)
Time: 4 p.m.
Temp: 48 degrees
Time: 47:04
Gear: Wicking LST (Seattle 1/2, 1998), shorts, APA3.
Notes: I started out about a minute and a half ahead of pace in the first mile, making it about 8:00 or so. I felt like my calves were giving me trouble up L2 and L3 but then I really opened it up in the last mile along the PATH.

1/31/07
Course: Middlebear (K)
Time: 3:30 p.m.
Temp: 44 degrees
Time: 48:57
Gear: CFLST, SST('Stars),shorts, APA3
Notes: I felt good the entire run. Wonder if carbing up on Oreos the night before did it?? Caught a zombie at the second bridge at Freedom Park. Then hit a rabbit going up L1. Felt a little warm in the CFLST, so maybe a plain LST next time for this kind of weather.

Course: Middlebear (K)
Time: 4:20 p.m.
Temp: 38 degrees
Time: 49:40
Gear: CFLST, SST(Trek/USPS), APA3
Notes: Wore the Thermafit gloves that I usually wear driving but they lasted about a half-mile before they ended on my belt the rest of the time. Bogey at base of L1, totally dropped on the hill.

1/26/07
Course: Middlebear
Time: 4:20 p.m.
Temp: 50 degrees
Time: 50:38
Gear: Short-sleeve T-shirt (Portland 5-miler, 1998), shorts, APA3.
Notes: Maybe I should stretch before I run. Felt like it took me a while for my calf muscles to "unlock" -- about 2 miles until I went through the Viper tube. One rabbit, down L1 and to L2 before passing. Had difficulty with the hexagon sidewalks in the last mile, legs fairly tired at that point.

1/25/07
Course: Middlebear (Kennedy)
Time: 4:15 p.m.
Temp: 48 degrees (windy)
Time: 50 minutes
Gear: LST (Shamrock, 2000), shorts, APA3
Notes: More runners out than I'd expected, including spectacular women with long legs and short shorts(!). Brief gusts of wind unpleasant but my pace felt good. At the Little Five Points intersection I was wishing for my Maui Jims.

1/24/07
Time: 10 a.m.
Temp: 39 degrees
Time: 51 minutes
Course: Middlebear
Gear: Kevin's Cup long-sleeve T, Umbro shorts, Nike Air Pegasus (2006) shoes
Notes: I got up early and wanted to make sure I got in a run so I'd have enough time to catch a matinee of Letters from Iwo Jima sometime after noon.
A day ago, I wore a fleece vest while running and felt way too hot on my back at the end of the run, so I decided to just go with the long-sleeve T. This T-shirt is really not long enough to comfortably cover my hands.
I feel I ran OK, much better than the previous day when I was just crawling it in near Fritti and the PATH. My knees looked a little red from the cold at the end of it all.
